About Amarillo Lot Striping
Amarillo Lot Striping is a parking lot striping and pavement marking company working in Amarillo, Texas and across the Texas Panhandle. This page is about how we quote and how we work, because those are the two things that actually differ between striping contractors.
Want the short version? Call and describe the lot.
Call (806) 375-4850We walk the lot
Every quote starts with somebody standing on the pavement with a measuring wheel. Aerial photographs do not show surface condition, cross slope, where water stands, whether the access aisle has been painted over, or what the delivery truck actually has to do to reach the dock. All of those change the price, and some of them change the recommendation.
We write down the things that get left vague
Three numbers decide whether a striping job lasts, and all three are usually absent from a quote: the wet film thickness of the paint, what surface preparation is included, and whether abandoned markings are being removed or painted around. We state all three. It is also why our number sometimes looks higher than the one next to it, and comparing those three lines usually explains the gap.
We measure the accessible stalls whether or not you asked
On most restripes we quote, at least one accessible element does not measure what the standards specify, and the owner has no idea. We record the dimensions we find and give them to you before anything is painted.
We are a striping contractor. We are not a Registered Accessibility Specialist, we do not perform Texas Accessibility Standards plan review, and nothing we give you is a certification of compliance. Where a question needs one of those, we say so and tell you who it belongs with. Being clear about that boundary protects you more than a confident answer would.
We will tell you when not to buy
Fresh paint on failing asphalt is the easiest sale in this trade and it is usually the wrong recommendation. So is thermoplastic across a whole lot, sealcoating on pavement with a base problem, and wheel stops in every stall. Each of those is more money for us and less value for you, and we would rather take the smaller job and be the people you call next time.
What we promise
- A written price before any work starts
- Layouts measured on site, not estimated from an aerial photo
- Lots returned to service on the schedule we agreed
That is the whole list, deliberately. We are not going to tell you how many years we have been doing this, how many crews we run or how many lots we have painted, because those are exactly the claims that are easiest to invent and hardest for you to check.
If that is the kind of contractor you want on your lot, call (806) 375-4850 and describe the property.
